The end of the school year is nearing! We wanted to let all of our families know that all items in the Lost & Found will be donated on May 22nd. Please make sure to stop by the cafeteria before the end of the school year to retrieve your student’s items!

Teacher Appreciation Week is May 3rd. Students may come to school dressed as their favorite movie character to celebrate the theme! Outfits must be free of weapons or excessive face paint (no blood/gore). Students may not wear masks to school.

We are excited to host Field Day on Monday, May 20th! This end-of-year event is a special tradition at our school! This year, we have a decades theme.

We are excited to celebrate our 5th-grade students as they make their way to middle school!  Our 5th Grade Continuation Ceremony will take place on Tuesday, May 21st at 8:25 a.m. 

On Wednesday, May 15th, students will be celebrating their 5th Grade Continuation with a trip to Rollerland Skate Center in Fort Collins.  This is a student only-field trip. Students may wear athletic clothing in lieu of formal dress.

Kindergarten students have been studying the seven continents of the world! We will celebrate our studies with a fun celebration filled with various activities that portray the culture of each continent.

First-grade students will celebrate what they have learned on May 6th from 2:00 to 2:30 p.m. at their Living Animal Wax Museum! To support their learning as expository writers, 1st graders will present information about a living animal they have researched and written about.

As the end of the year approaches, please be sure that your student has turned in their library books!

You are cordially invited to join the 2nd-grade team in their classrooms from 2:15 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. the week of April 15th through 19th as we celebrate our youngest authors and all of their hard work this year! Students will share their writing throughout the year while enjoying cookies and lemonade.

Fifth-grade students have been learning about the Renaissance over the past several weeks! On May 2nd at 8:30 a.m., students will celebrate their learning with a fun Core Knowledge event. During the Renaissance Fair, students will rotate through various activities and dress in Renaissance-inspired costumes. Families are invited to attend the Renaissance Fair. 

It is time to start planning to try out for our Middle School Cheer/Spirit Team for next year! We invite all incoming 6th through 8th graders to try out for the middle school cheer team. See below for more details!

We have several items in our Lost & Found! If you see something that belongs to your student, please make sure to pick it up by Friday! All items will be donated by Friday.

Windsor Charter Academy and Caring Canines have a strong partnership that allows therapy dogs to visit our school and support our students. Carine Canings is currently recruiting new therapy dog teams to support WCA students and others in our area!

Coach O’Neal is inviting our 1st through 5th-grade girls who play basketball to the 3-Ball Xtreme Basketball Camp to prepare players for the WCA basketball programs. This is an ideal camp for players who would like to learn fundamentals and improve their skill set for upcoming seasons.

Windsor Charter Academy students will take their Colorado Measures of Academic Success  (CMAS) tests in April!  CMAS tests are meaningful and relevant assessments that support rigorous academic standards. The state’s summative tests measure students’ mastery of grade-level standards and growth over time.  In addition, these assessments measure students’ critical thinking skills, which are needed to be successful in school and life. 

We are excited to invite 4th and 5th graders to participate in intramural soccer!

Our elementary school is excited to have a new Cheer Club! Participants will learn cheer routines and dances.

Our students are enjoying their Sources of Strength lessons in our classrooms! Our counseling team has developed a short video on “Speaking with Good Purpose” and “Failure Leads to Success” - two of The Eight Keys of Excellence.
