Windsor Charter Academy Farm-to-School Program
*This link defaults to the elementary school menu. Please use the filters to find your student’s school, as the elementary school menu is different than the middle and high school menus. Also, “Windsor Charter Academy” is the school district.
**Please note that all menus are subject to change in the event of a Snow Day. Menus will be updated with changes made for that week.
farm-to-school program
Windsor Charter Academy’s Food Service Department believes scratch-made meals positively impact the health of all children! Across our campuses, we are committed to creating fresh, tasty, and nutritious meals through a farm-to-school model. We serve 85% scratch-made meals each day. Our Farm-to-School Program complies with all guidelines of the National School Lunch Program. Our Food Service Department:
Serves scratch-made meals daily.
Prepares allergy-friendly recipes.
Sources local produce, including produce grown in our elementary school organic garden.
Our Food Service Department is passionate about creating opportunities to educate students about food sourcing, gardening, food science, and basic cooking skills. Families are encouraged to get involved! If you are interested in volunteering in our kitchens or gardens, becoming a vendor, or having questions about our recipes, please contact Jeannine Davison, Director of Food Services.
If you want to donate to our program to help us continue to provide high-quality scratch-made meals, cultivate our organic garden, and grow our program, please click below!
FOOD ALLERGIES
Students who need their school meals modified to accommodate food allergies or preferences will be required to submit a Meal Modification Form signed by their medical provider. The Food Services Department will only modify meals if this form has been submitted to the Health Office.
