At the middle and high school level, Sources of Strength employs a radically strength-based approach to harness the power of peer social networks to support mental health, emotional regulation, proactive prevention of bullying, and suicide prevention.

In celebration of Halloween, high school students can participate in a costume contest among grade levels on Friday, October 27th. The grade level with the most votes for best costumes will be awarded a Free Dress Day pass for Wednesday, November 1st.

Windsor Charter Academy welcomes all families and visitors to our Veterans Day Assembly on November 11th at 2:00 p.m.! To ensure the safety of our schools, we will require all visitors attending the Veterans Day Assembly to have a background check on file.

The University of Northern Colorado (UNC) Math Contest is open to any middle or high school student interested in math! The first round of questions is sent to Windsor Charter Academy from UNC and administered in-house at WCA during a 2-day window. This is scheduled for Thursday, October 26th or Friday, October 27th.

Windsor Charter Academy is excited to establish its first student-led news crew! Ten high school students will be hired as part of our inaugural team. Students will report on sports games, performing arts productions, and other after-school events!

CSU’s College of Business will once again be hosting the SPARK Innovation Conference for middle and high school students on October 27th from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Richardson Design Center.

Skillman Photography will be at the MS/HS on Wednesday, October 18th from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. for picture retakes. Forms will be available at the front desk.

Fall Parent-Teacher Conferences are approaching! These conferences will be held Thursday, October 12th from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the school’s gymnasium.

Seniors have done an incredible job painting their reserved parking spaces this year! Please come out and see all of the beautiful artwork that our seniors have created in our parking lot.

Colorado’s 6th annual Free Application Day will be held on October 17 - 19th, 2023 for all Colorado residents! All of our seniors will be submitting their Common Applications to Colorado colleges.

Join us for our middle and high school Scholastic Book Fair! The Scholastic Book Fair will be held in the MS/HS Media Center from Wednesday, October 11th through Friday, October 13th.

Our HS theatre program is looking for volunteers to support their fall production of Radium Girls. If you have a background in carpentry, costuming, lighting, or stage building, please consider volunteering!

Please note that the yearbook staff has informed us that they will need to move up the deadline this year for senior pictures to December 1st, 2023. Please note that any pictures submitted after this date will incur a $75 late fee

The Boettcher Foundation Scholarship application cycle is now open to all qualifying high school seniors. Please visit the Boettcher Foundation's website for more information.

Homecoming Week will be held from October 2nd through October 6th. We have many activities planned to celebrate our Firebirds!

The Career & Technical Education (CTE) Opportunities Fair is an opportunity for high school juniors and seniors to establish contacts and relationships with potential trade schools and businesses. The CTE Opportunities Fair will be held on September 28th at the Windsor Recreation Center from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

The MS/HS AVID Site Team will be hosting an Ice Cream Social for all MS/HS AVID elective students and their parents in the HS Courtyard from 3:45 to 4:45 p.m. on Thursday, September 14th. We are excited to see our families there!

If a student has a missing assignment in Infinite Campus, parents/guardians will receive an email every Monday with a list of missing assignments. Teachers mark any assignment that is not turned in at the due date as missing, even if a student is absent.

Jostens will be here on September 6th for a senior class meeting during the ELO block to discuss and distribute graduation order forms as well as sophomore class ring order forms. Jostens will be back to collect the order forms on September 14th.
