Students who join Art Club have an opportunity to work with a variety of materials in a setting that offers quality, one-on-one assistance. Students will focus on different materials depending on the interests of the club members, but options include: clay, screen printing, paper mache, photography, painting, mixed media, charcoal and much more!

Windsor Charter Academy is excited to introduce Mr. Rae, our new school counseling intern! Mr. Rae will be working with Mrs. Kershaw and Mrs. Bratton as a counselor for all elementary and middle school students.

We are looking for parents and community members to present to our students about their career! If you are interested in presenting to our students enrolled in our middle school AVID elective, please review this document for more information.

Students are allowed to bring a backpack to school, but the backpack must remain in their locker during the school day. Students may carry a drawstring bag or small purse during the day, but it can be no larger than approximately 9x3x12”.

Spring conferences will be scheduled from January 31st to February 10th. Teachers will reach out to parents if they would like to schedule an individual conference.

On February 15th from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. we will be hosting our Middle/High School Character Education, Social-Emotional, and Mental Health Webinar! All middle and high school parents are invited to discuss a variety of important topics with our school administration and counselors.

Congratulations to our 2nd Quarter Honor Roll recipients! Honor roll students will be recognized at school and receive a coupon for a “High School Dress Day” to be used on Monday, January 24th. Students must follow the high school dress code policy.

Titus K. was nominated by the WCA Middle School Symphonic Band for outstanding musicianship, playing ability, and leadership qualities! Based on his nomination, he was selected to participate in an all-day band festival for the Combined League Middle School Honor Bands.

​​The countdown is on! This is the last week to guarantee your student gets a yearbook. We will be ordering very few extra copies to sell at the end of the year. It is unlikely that there will be a book available for your child if you don’t order a book by January 28th.

Current 8th grade students received all of the high school registration information they need during school this week. High school registration forms are due on January 25th to the high school front office.

In preparation for 8th Grade Continuation, we are in need of pictures of 8th grade students for their continuation video! One of the best elements of 8th grade Continuation is the slideshow displaying pictures of our 8th graders at various stages of their childhood.

We have completed the iReady benchmark assessments. These results were sent home with students last week. If you have not already, please review the results of your student’s iReady assessment.

Be sure to check your student's Quarter 3 Schedule on Infinite Campus. Some students have had their core classes moved around due to math needs. If your student is a part of that group, their math teacher reached out to you earlier this month.

Athletic Wear Day is schedule for Friday, December 10th and Ugly Sweater Day will be held on Tuesday, December 14th!

This year all students will be scheduled into a Multimedia Literacy elective where they will focus on Core Knowledge content. The culminating event will be a Core Knowledge Showcase, where students will share their projects and celebrate their learning over the quarter. Families are encouraged to attend this event to view their students' work!
