Windsor Charter Academy welcomes family members and friends to volunteer or participate in all of the exciting activities at our schools! We prioritize school safety and want to ensure that all those who enter our buildings are committed to keeping our community safe.
If you are new to Windsor Charter Academy this year, we encourage you to apply for a Fast Pass by October 16th. Fast Passes can be issued to parents/guardians, or other relatives that may frequently attend events. After October 16th, Fast Passes will only be issued if they are expired or need to be replaced.
Please follow the process outlined below:
Step 1: Complete a Colorado Bureau of Investigations (CBI) Background Check
All visitors must submit a CBI Background Check before visiting our schools during school hours (Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.).
Background checks do not need to be conducted to attend after-school activities, including athletic games, extracurricular activities, etc.
All visitors must submit a background check at least 48-hours prior to visiting our schools. If a background check is not on file, visitors will need to complete one at the front office before entering the building.
Background checks are valid for four (4) years.
Step 2: Request a Fast Pass - Elementary School Only
Fast Passes are issued to elementary school visitors only. Fast Passes allow visitors to easily show their pass to enter all of our large elementary school events. To receive a Fast Pass, please:
Ensure that the school has a current CBI Background Check on file.
Complete the Fast Pass Request Form.
Once these two steps are complete, and the background check is certified, Fast Pass will be printed and sent home with the student. A lanyard and plastic sleeve will be provided for all Fast Passes.
During all Fast Pass events, visitors will be asked to show a photo ID. We recommend making a photo copy of your driver license, cutting it out, and placing it in the plastic sleeve behind the Fast Pass.
