Cooking Club is a community-based class that provides students with skills to creatively make snacks and meals on their own! In this club, students will learn to follow recipes, use kitchen tools, and prepare snacks that can be enjoyed together as a group or at home. Students will practice their math skills by using fractions when measuring. In addition, students will learn about a variety of foods from around the world and how food is grown. We will also explore the health benefits of specific foods and how to make healthy food choices. During our “mealtime,” students will learn manners that can be applied at school and at home! Most importantly, students will learn to to enjoy being in the kitchen and feel pride when preparing homemade goodies to share with their families! We look forward to having our future culinary artists join us at Cooking Club!
