We are excited to share with you that our school will be participating in “Kindergarten Bring Your Parent/Guardian to PE Week” from March 4th through March 8th.

It’s time for our Science Fair! Fifth-grade students will be presenting science fair projects on Friday, February 23rd. Parents are welcome to visit projects in the 5th-grade classrooms from 8:30 to 9:10 a.m. 

We now have a Kynd Kit Kiosk at the front entrance of our elementary school! Kynd Kiosks are like vending machines for volunteer projects. Each kiosk is filled with a Kynd Kit, which has volunteer activities and wellness kits that students and families can complete together.

Registration is now open for girls’ intramural basketball! Intramural basketball is open to 4th and 5th graders.

We encourage our families to only check students out of school for emergencies and appointments.  Checking a student out of school at the front office should be rare and not done daily.

We are seeking a volunteer to assist with our lost and found items. We would like a volunteer to come in every other week on Fridays and sort through lost and found items.

Our school is proud to offer Science Matters in America STEM enrichment activities. To register for a Science Matters class, please visit their website.

This is a friendly reminder to parents and students that no cell phones are allowed in the classrooms. Students may wear smart watches at school; however, students may not use their watch during the school day for text messaging, phone calls, or any other use unrelated to school. For more information, please review our guidelines outlined in our WCA Parent/Student Handbook.

The choir program at Windsor Charter Academy fosters a love of music from diverse cultures, time periods, and genres while educating and equipping our students in the study and execution of the musical performing arts. We strive to prepare students for a lifetime of musical experiences and personal enrichment!

We love having our families join us for lunch! If you plan to come to the school for lunch, please send an RSVP email to Mrs. Buford, our elementary school kitchen manager by 9:00 a.m. the morning you plan to come.

We have a few reminders for our parents regarding our pick-up and drop-off processes.

The 5th Grade Changing Bodies Class will be offered from March 18th to 22nd from 2:10 to 3:00 p.m. daily. This class helps boys and girls understand the physical and emotional changes they experience during puberty and acknowledge these changes as a normal part of growth and development. 

Many of our elementary school classrooms will celebrate Valentine’s Day on Wednesday, February 14th at 1:30 p.m. in their classrooms! We have a few reminders for our families.

** Candy Grams can be purchased in person at the elementary school. Online sales are now closed.

Student Council’s 2nd-semester service project is to sell Valentine's Day Candy Grams! All proceeds from the candy gram sales will be donated to Children's Hospital Colorado. Families are invited to purchase a sucker for $1 for their students, friends, or teachers.

On Tuesday, January 30th, all students need to wear their formal dress uniform for class pictures. Our elementary school formal dress uniform consists of blue bottoms, a white dress shirt, and a school tie.

Second-grade students have been learning about famous Americans as part of the Core Knowledge unit! Students will share their bobblehead creations and an informational paragraph on the famous Americans they were assigned.

The countdown is on! This is the last week to guarantee your student gets a yearbook. We will order a few extra copies to sell at the end of the year. It is unlikely that a book will be available for your child if you don’t order a book by January 26th.

Valentine’s Day is Wednesday, February 14th! Students are allowed to wear red and pink for Valentine’s Day.
