Windsor Charter Academy is giving families an opportunity to donate gifts to those in need this holiday season! From November 18th through December 19th, a Giving Tree will be placed in the office foyer with gift tags listing various donation ideas.

Join us on December 6th at 12:10 p.m. as we celebrate the second-grade Core Knowledge Unit with Immigration Day! Our students will engage in hands-on activities that bring history to life, simulating the journey of immigrants coming to America through Ellis Island.

The 4th-grade classes will be presenting “A Colorado Christmas” on December 4th at 5:30 p.m. in the ES Gymnasium! Let us brighten your spirits as you join us for a night of celebration. If you listen closely, you might learn a thing or two about Colorado that you never knew before!

The first-semester service project sponsored by the Elementary School Student Council is the Weld County Food Drive! The Food Drive will be held from Monday, November 18th through Thursday, November 21st.

To celebrate the third grade Core Knowledge Rome Unit, we will host the Third Grade Roman Day Celebration to engage in a deeper understanding of Roman times. We invite parents to join this celebration with us through hands-on learning, games, and activities!

The weather and temperature are monitored throughout the school day to determine if extreme weather conditions are forecasted. The weather in Colorado changes frequently, so It is important that students are sent to school with appropriate clothing for cold weather conditions.

Windsor Charter Academy’s Elementary School Parent-Teacher Club (PTC) is excited to host Supper with Santa! Join us for dinner, a live performance by the HS Jazz Band and WCA Choir, and pictures with Santa and Mrs. Claus! Santa will close out the evening by reading ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas to the audience.

Our 3rd, 4th, and 5th Grade Honor Roll Assembly for the first quarter will be held on Friday, November 8th, at 8:30 a.m. in the ES Gymnasium. Parents of students who earned honor roll recognition will receive an email inviting them to the assembly.

Join us on November 11th at 8:30 a.m. in the ES Gymnasium to celebrate our veterans! We are excited to honor those who have served our country.

After closely reviewing traffic patterns during our drop-off and pick-up times and considering feedback from our families, we have made updates to our drop-off process. We have clarified these changes with new instructions and maps on our webpage. The most significant change is that the Logistics Parking Lot will now be the only location where parking is permitted for drop-off.

We are excited to partner with Caring Canines to provide animal-assisted intervention to a limited number of students. Ruby, the miniature poodle pictured below, will visit our building with her handler each week to meet with select students.

The elementary school Veterans Day Assembly will be held on Monday, November 11th, at 8:30 a.m. in our gymnasium. Our Veterans Day assemblies recognize the service and sacrifices of our veterans. If you plan to attend this event, please plan to stay for the entire assembly.

Colorado State University’s Chemistry Department is excited to invite local families to its Annual Halloween Show! This event is educational and entertaining and allows children to learn about science in fun ways!

If you are new to Windsor Charter Academy this year, we encourage you to apply for a Fast Pass by October 14th. Fast Passes can be issued to parents/guardians, or other relatives that may frequently attend events. After October 14th, Fast Passes will only be issued if they are expired or need to be replaced.

Our elementary school classes will celebrate Halloween on Tuesday, October 29th! We are excited to welcome our families to our school and see all of their creative costumes!

Our kindergarten students are ready to celebrate all they have learned in their Core Knowledge Unit—Five Senses! They will have a fun Halloween celebration centered around the study of the human body. They will get to explore the five senses and the five food groups, play games, and create crafts.
