Our high school is proud to have an opportunity to have an eSports Team this year! Establishing eSports team at our high school enables students to enjoy competitive play, earn recognition, and develop priceless critical thinking and interpersonal skills.

Student Council hosts a fundraiser every Friday and students can pay $1 to dress down. With this donation, students can wear ripped jeans, sweat pants, leggings, and hats. Please note that this differs from our day-to-day Dress Code Policy. Students should adhere to the Dress Code Policy every other day of the week.

Yesterday, we sent an email to our junior parents with an incorrect meeting link. The Junior Parent Meeting will be held tonight at 6:00 p.m. via Zoom. Please click here to access the meeting.

Windsor Charter Academy offers SAT testing usually once a month at our school. There are not many testing sites in northern Colorado so it is a benefit for our students who want to take the SAT again to have it in a building they are comfortable in with staff they know

All juniors recently received an email regarding the National Merit Scholar Qualifying Test which will take place at Windsor Charter Academy on October 12th. If your student has not signed up to take this optional test, please encourage them to do so.

Academic support for high school students began on Tuesday, August 23rd. Academic support occurs every Tuesday and Thursday from 3 :00 to 4:00 p.m.

Students are allowed to bring backpacks, string bags, purses, and lunch boxes to school. These bags must be placed in student lockers at the start of the school day.

We are looking forward to the Firebird Fest on May 18th! Freshmen, sophomores, and juniors are invited to join us after school from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. to enjoy lunch, games, inflatable slides, obstacle courses, a dunk tank, yearbook signing, and other events! All high school students need to be picked up by 12:45 p.m.

Yearbooks will be distributed to all high school students on May 6th from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m., at lunch, and after school. We will also distribute during lunch on Monday, May 9th.

Graduation is right around the corner! We have many events planned for our graduates, and we look forward to celebrating with you!

As we enter the final weeks of school, we have several important events coming up. Please be sure to mark you calendars!

Our wonderful academic advisor, Mrs. Tickler, is moving to Michigan this summer and will therefore not be returning to WCA next year. We want to wish Mrs. Tickler and her family all the best in Michigan!

Do you have old band or orchestra instruments sitting around your home that are not being used? WCA students have a need for them! Musical donations of electric/acoustic guitars, band instruments, string instruments, or even percussion equipment pieces are all accepted!

Congratulations to Corianna J. (10th grade) and Rheannon Z. (10th grade) for participating in National History Day this year. Congratulations to these hard working students! Corianna and Rheannon have now advanced to the state competition for a chance to compete at the national competition!

Congratulations to senior Maggie A. who won the P.E.O. National STAR scholarship! This scholarship was established in 2009 to help young women of stellar academic achievement reach for the stars through educational grants, loans, and scholarships.

On May 19th, all 9th, 10th and 11th grade students will turn in their school-issued Chromebook and charger after their last final exam. Students with an off-block during Period 4 will turn in their device and charger during Period 2. Each Chromebook has a blue and silver inventory tag with an asset number.

Teacher Appreciation Week is the week of May 2nd. We are looking for a family or a business to sponsor $250 for the coffee truck so that all of our high school teachers treat themselves to a coffee that week.

Join the WCA Music Department at our Senior Showcase Concert on Friday, April 22nd at 5:30 p.m. in the HS Commons. Seniors have prepared solos, duets, and small group performances on their own and will share them with their families and friends.
