A select group of middle school students have the opportunity to enroll in a college preparatory elective called AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) . Our AVID elective is designed to prepare students in the “academic middle” for college.

AVID is a nationwide program with a proven track record for both bringing out the very best in individuals and ensuring that they are eligible and ready to succeed in college. Of the 42,418 AVID seniors nationwide, 95 percent reported plans to attend a post-secondary institution.
