Our middle school spirit week is next week!

Let’s party like it's 1920! Our middle school spring dance is on Friday, March 13th from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the gymnasium. The dance costs $5, and students can buy tickets at the door or at lunch the week of the dance. We are in need of adult helpers to chaperone the dance and help with snacks, drinks, and supervision.

We are excited to announce that our theater program is selling DVDs for this year's performances as well as recordings from previous years.

The WCA Safety Committee is hosting a Mental Health and Sources of Strength Parent Lunch-and-Learn on Thursday, March 19th from 11:45 a.m. - 12:45 pm. in the high school STEM Lab. This event is part of our Safety Committee’s monthly parent information seminar series, focusing on a variety of safety topics.

Join us for our middle school music concert on March 5th from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in our gymnasium! Our bands, orchestra, and choir will all be performing so come and hear some beautiful music!

Join us on March 12 -14 for our high school drama program production of “Seven Brides for Seven Brothers” at our elementary school!

Our Spring Break Girls’ Volleyball Camp will focus on fundamental volleyball skills, including: serving, setting, spiking, and individual/team development. This camp is open to WCA students and members of the public!

We are excited to be kicking off our Sources of Strength program with our middle school students this spring! In this program, our students will be able to identify where they can find their “source of strengths.” Students will also learn to build resiliency and create positive connections with their peers.

Join us for our Middle School Game Night on Thursday, March 19th from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the middle school commons!

We are excited to offer a VEX IQ Robotics Summer Camp to all incoming 4th - 8th grade students for the 2020-2021 school year! This camp is open to the public.

We are excited to announce that our students will be able to earn an Associate in Science degree at the start of the 2020-2021 school year. This means that all of our high school students have the opportunity to graduate with either an Associate of Arts degree or an Associate of Science degree from Aims Community College, free of charge. Our early college opportunity means families can save nearly $60,000 in college tuition, per student!

Our students will have state testing from April 14th through April 24th. Please note our test dates and try to ensure your student avoids being absent during this time.

Our newly formed Audio Visual (A.V.) Club is open to middle and high school students! In A.V. Club, students will learn the basics of video and audio production. An informational meeting will be held on Wednesday, February 19th at 3:30 p.m. in the Media Center.

The Clearview Library District and the Clearview Library District Friends and Foundation is hosting New York Times bestselling author William Kamkwamba on Saturday, February 22nd. Prior to the event, guests are invited to attend an Innovation Fair in the WHS cafeteria. Windsor Charter Academy will have a booth at the fair and Mrs. Shaler will be showcasing our students’ STEM projects!

At the District Spelling Bee, Windsor Charter Academy middle school students took home first, second, and third place! Our students will advance to the state competition at the University of Denver on March 14th.

All middle school students competed in the National Geographic GeoBee contest. Congratulations to our top finalists!

Our high school National Honor Society is hosting a Valentine’s Day Parents’ Night Out on Friday, February 21st from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at our high school. Enjoy a night out while your children do crafts, listen to music, watch movies, and eat snacks!

Our school is committed to the safety of all of our students and families. The WCA Safety Committee is hosting a Cyber Security and Sexting Parent Information Night on Wednesday, February 26th from 6:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. in room 184 at our high school.

At the end of last semester, students had the opportunity to take the NWEA MAPS assessment. The results of the MAPS assessment will be given to the students during advisory on Thursday, January 30th.  Please review these results with you student.

All parents are invited to join us for parent-teacher conferences on Wednesday, February 12th from 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. in each teacher’s classroom. All of our middle and high school teachers will be there and we would love to see all of our parents attend! No appointment is required.
