We are looking forward to celebrating our 8th-grade students on Tuesday, May 21st! Our 8th Grade Continuation Ceremony will begin at 5:30 p.m. Students should arrive at 4:45 p.m., and the doors will open to the public at 5:00 p.m.

Each school year, middle school students are required to complete community service hours. Each grade level is required to complete a certain number of hours.

CMAS testing is coming up! We are seeking snack donations for our students to enjoy after CMAS testing.  If you are interested in helping, please sign up here.  Items can be dropped off in the middle school office by Wednesday, April 10th.

Congratulations to our 3rd Quarter Honor Roll recipients! These students will be recognized at school and receive a coupon for a “High School Dress Day” to be used on Thursday, April 4th. Students must follow the high school dress code policy.

In preparation for Teacher Appreciation Week, we are asking families to donate gift cards.  If you are interested in donating please, please sign up here. Remember, for every $10 donated, families can earn one volunteer hour. Thank you for supporting our teachers!

Windsor Charter Academy students will take their Colorado Measures of Academic Success  (CMAS) tests in April!  CMAS tests are meaningful and relevant assessments that support rigorous academic standards. The state’s summative tests measure students’ mastery of grade-level standards and growth over time.  In addition, these assessments measure students’ critical thinking skills, which are needed to be successful in school and life. 

Our middle school students collected a total of 705 items for our food drive! In total, our families donated 229 pounds of food. We are thankful for the generosity of our families!

On Tuesday, March 5th at 5:30 p.m., middle school music students will show off their hard work by performing musical works for each other, family, and friends. All are welcome to attend an evening of musical entertainment!

Our Spring Dance will be on Friday, March 1st, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m.!  The dance will have a beach party theme to celebrate our upcoming spring break vacation! Tickets will be sold for $5.00 (cash only).

Congratulations to our middle school students who participated in the Colorado Open Cup Stacking Championship last weekend! Diviya F., Tayla F., and Even V. all competed. Diviya earned two 2nd-place medals and a 3rd-place medal and placed 3rd all around.

Childhood anxiety is becoming increasingly common among youth. In fact, there are now approximately 4.4 million children ranging from ages 3-17 who have been diagnosed with anxiety.

Windsor Charter Academy is partnering with the Weld County Substance Use Prevention Program and is hosting an informational seminar to learn more about “The Impact of Vaping, Marijuana, Opioids, and Fentanyl on Young People.” This seminar was originally scheduled for March 28th but has been rescheduled to April 16th from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Windsor Charter Academy Middle/High School Classroom #145/147. Our middle school students will perform Alice in Wonderland this spring. All middle school students are invited to try out for a role! Practices and tryouts will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays, beginning February 13th, from 3:30 to 5:00 p.m.

On February 14th, middle school students are invited to wear pink or red to celebrate Valentine’s Day! Students are asked to follow Firebird Dress guidelines. Students are allowed to wear jeans for free on this day, but no pajamas.

The Disney Imagineering Club will draw on the inspiration of the Walt Disney Imagineers by studying the purpose and history of the Imagineers and learning about their process and creations.

Windsor Charter Academy was awarded an Empower Grant from Poudre Valley REA! Mx. Madigent applied for a grant to purchase 3D Makerbot Sketch Printers for her art classroom.

It’s that time of year again! All middle school students will receive their 2024-2025 registration forms in the next few weeks. Registration forms are due by February 29th to the middle school front office. Students should also register in Infinite Campus by February 29th.
