We are proud to announce our very first Dance Club that is open to all WCA elementary school students! For six weeks students will engage in a variety of dance and movement routines. Dancers will participate in multiple genres of dance and movement activities and will conclude the program with a recital. On March 19th, students will have their final recital at our “Adventure Away” music program and art show. No experience is required!
Our dance club will be split into two groups, grades K-2 and 3-5. Mrs. Jones will teach grades K-2 and Mrs. McConnell will teach grades 3-5.
Dates:
Every Thursday between February 13th through March 19th
Final Performance: March 19th at 6:30 p.m. in the elementary school gymnasium
Time:
Kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd Graders from 3:30 p.m. to 4:15 p.m.
3rd, 4th, and 5th Graders from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Location: Elementary school music room and gymnasium stage
Price: $35 includes a dance t-shirt and a special prop
Details: Please wear comfortable athletic clothing and bring a water bottle! No special dance wear or dance shoes are required. Please note that no food or drinks will be allowed in the gymnasium, and all water bottles and food must be consumed in the hallway outside the gymnasium. Also, please note that younger siblings may not attend unless they are registered for the club.
