Meet Our Office Staff

We are excited to introduce our families to our office staff this year! Families can learn a little bit more about each of our staff members below. Stop by our front office and say hello!

Mrs. Wilson

This is Mrs. Wilson's third year as director of elementary school education and ninth year at Windsor Charter Academy (WCA). She has also had the opportunity to serve as assistant principal, dean, and teacher. Mrs. Wilson has two children, a first and third grader who attend WCA. She and her family live in Windsor and enjoy spending time outdoors hiking, biking, and swimming. Mrs. Wilson also loves participating in races throughout Northern Colorado and being a part of various WCA and Windsor community events. Mrs. Wilson beams with Firebird pride and a passion for ensuring that all students are educated, empowered, and equipped to reach their highest potential. She cannot wait for an incredible 2023-2024 school year with staff, students, and families!

Mrs. Moore

Mrs. Moore is incredibly happy to start her third year as assistant principal and ninth year at WCA. While at WCA, she has served as an instructional specialist and dean of students. Before coming to WCA, she taught in the Poudre School District for 21 years. Mrs. Moore and her husband, Mike, have two amazing daughters. Sydney is a 24-year-old CU graduate who will be starting her first year of law school at the University of Texas. Mia is 20 and attends Regis University where she is a biology/pre-med major and plays softball for the Rangers. When not at school, Mrs. Moore enjoys hiking, reading, spending time with family and friends, watching her daughter play softball, taking care of her great nephew, and enjoying her newest hobby - embroidery. Her favorite children's book is Knuffle Bunny. During her many years in education, Mrs. Moore’s “All Means All” philosophy has guided her work. She is focused on developing teacher effectiveness and supporting quality instruction and interventions to ensure students are educated, equipped, and empowered to be lifelong learners. 

Mrs. Bradford

Mrs. Bradford is joining the office staff as the receptionist this year. Her family has been at WCA for the better part of 4 years. Prior to this year, she worked as a paraprofessional. She and her husband live in Windsor with their four kids, and can usually be found driving them to and from sports practice! In her spare time, Mrs. Bradford enjoys shopping, crafting, and watching movies with her kids. She is excited to be working with such a wonderful staff and looks forward to getting to know our Firebird families!

MRS. HERRBACK

Mrs. Herrback is excited to return as a counselor for her second year at WCA! This is her 6th year as a school counselor, although her career in education first began as a teacher in 2004. Students often remember her name by saying, "Mrs. Herrback has your back!" She resides in Windsor with her husband and two daughters, who also joined the WCA family this year as 7th and 9th graders. When the weather is warm, you may find Mrs. Herrback and her family biking, paddle boarding, or hiking. However, she especially enjoys curling up with a good book alongside her two dogs during the cold, snowy days. No matter the weather, Mrs. Herrback loves bringing a smile to children's faces and looks forward to further building relationships with students, families, and staff this year!

Ms. Winder

Mrs. Winder is joining the counseling team as a student support teacher on special assignment (TOSA). This is her ninth year with WCA. She loves to spend time with her four children playing games, being outdoors, and cheering them on during their sports and hobbies. Mrs. Winder believes in life-long education and is excited to be able to get to know and support all of the amazing students and families at WCA.  

Mrs. Jones

This is Mrs. Jones’ third year as the dean of students at our elementary school and ninth year at WCA. Prior to her current role, she was a third grade teacher. In addition to her passion for education, Mrs. Jones is family and relationship oriented. She lives in Eaton with her husband and toddler, Declan. Her family can typically be found hiking, camping, or enjoying the mountains. She is devoted to the celebration of diverse learning needs and cultivating an environment of continuous learning for all staff and students. She is excited to have an amazing school year with her Firebird Family!

Mrs. Schmitz

Mrs. Schmitz is starting her fifth year working at WCA. Currently, she serves in the position of office manager. She lives in Windsor with her husband and son who attends WCA.  In her free time she enjoys exploring Colorado, relaxing with a good book, and taking road trips to visit her son at college  She has enjoyed working at WCA getting to know the students, staff, and families. She is looking forward to continuing her support of our school community!
