In December, the 5th grade had a great time creating various crafts from their “Holidays Around the World” research unit. Each teacher taught about the history of the holiday in a chosen country or region and the students built a craft from that country. Some included Scandinavian gnomes, poinsettias from Mexico, origami stars from the Philippines, Austrian snow globes, and nutcracker ornaments from Germany. Students enjoyed the event and learned a lot about how different countries celebrate holidays!
Also, some of our 5th grade students spent an afternoon caroling around the school! It was such a fun event that was enjoyed by students at all grade levels. Thank you, 5th graders, for making our holidays so special!
