Firebird Fun Run

Our Firebird Fun Run Fundraising Campaign is back! Our fundraising campaign, culminating with our Firebird Fun Run event, serves as our annual elementary school fundraiser. We are in year three of a five-year campaign to raise money to install turf at our elementary school. This year’s Firebird Fun Run is sponsored by run.Windsor and Windsor Gives!

How to Donate

Windsor Charter Academy parents, families, and community can make a tax-deductible donation to support our campaign. Funds raised are for participation, not on a per-lap basis.

  • Online Donations: At the start of our fundraising campaign, families can use our crowdfunding platform to donate. Our crowdfunding platform is a great way to involve friends and family!

    • When donating online, please consider sharing the donation link on social media! The link to donate is easily shareable on Facebook and Instagram, or even by email. Let’s spread the word to family and friends so we can meet our fundraising goal!

  • Cash/Check Donations: Please send in cash or a check inside an envelope with your student’s name on it. Donations can be dropped off at the elementary school front office or sent in with students. Donations can be mailed to: Windsor Charter Academy, Attn: Business Office, 810 Automation Drive, Windsor, CO 80550.

  • Questions? Contact Casey Hicks, WCA Fun Run Event Coordinator.

Donations can be credited toward your family's 35-hour service commitment at one hour per $10 donation. A $350 donation can fulfill your family's commitment! To record this, please update your HelpCounter School Volunteer Account and enter your hours as a monetary donation.

FUNDRAISING GOAL

The Firebird Fun Run Fundraising Campaign is in its third year. Our goal is to raise $300,000 over five years. In 2019 and 2022, we raised a total of $113,500 (the race was cancelled in 2020 and 2021 due to COVID-19). This year’s goal is to raise $65,000!

All funds raised will go towards installing artificial turf at our elementary school, in the field between the blacktop and the mulched playground. While our school does receive state funding, these funds do not fully cover building and maintenance costs. Fundraising is critical to closing the gap!

Fundraising Impact

If each student raises $85, we will meet our goal for this year!

  • A $25 donation per student = $19,150 for our school

  • A $50 donation per student = $38,300 for our school

  • A $100 donation per student = $76,600 for our school

As a member of our Windsor Charter Academy community, we hope you can contribute to support our campaign. Investing in our students is an investment in our future!
