WCA is excited to announce the new Firebird Writing Center, opening Tuesday, October 20th! The Firebird Writing Center is available to all high school students who need help with writing assignments for any class. The Firebird Writing Center is not an editing service; rather, its purpose is to help students build their writing skills.
To start, the Writing Center will be open on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. These hours may increase to meet student demand. Student tutors will work at the Writing Center. Tutors will either work for community service hours or will receive a $10 payment, per session. Students can sign up to meet with a tutor via the calendar link below. On the calendar, it will indicate whether a tutor is available and if they are paid or unpaid. If your student chooses a tutor who receives monetary payment, please make sure they bring $10 to the tutoring session.
