Sources of Strength will launch a new campaign next week called The What Helps Me Campaign, which focuses on highlighting the strengths that help us cope or manage our emotions during times of stress.
No one gets through life without regularly experiencing one of the big three emotions - anger, sadness, and anxiety. We know these emotions are common and pervasive, but we don’t often hear how people cope with them. The good news is there are healthy and positive ways to manage our emotions. Sources of Strength reminds us all to turn to our strengths wheel when we are feeling overwhelmed. Some ideas are working, texting a friend, taking your dog for a walk, listening to music, writing in a journal, painting or drawing, talking about how you're feeling with a trusted adult, helping someone, baking something, and cleaning - the list is endless!
