National Honor Society Service Projects: Kazoo Choir

Kazoo Choir

Many of the Firebirds in the middle and high schools are familiar with the Kazoo Choir! Throughout this school year, NHS member Leigh O. devoted over 30 hours towards leading practices and spreading the word about this new musical group. Every Wednesday during lunch, members meet in the choir room and prepare kazoo arrangements. With these arrangements, they have gone caroling during the holiday season and now anticipate a performance at the end of the year.

When asked to reflect on her establishment of the Kazoo Choir, Leigh said that she “loves all of the smiles it has brought to the faces of those around [her].”

The Kazoo Choir has not made as much progress recently due to excitement for graduation, but they await their upcoming concert that will take place in May! If any students are interested in joining the Kazoo Choir, they can reach out to Leigh O. and learn more about it. We appreciate all of the work that the NHS members have put into the service projects this year, and are excited to see how this musical group continues to progress after Leigh graduates!
