VEX Robotics Registration

Is your student interested in engineering, design, building, or programming?  We invite all students to participate in VEX Robotics! Windsor Charter Academy’s award-winning VEX Robotics program has been around for the last 5 years and our teams have qualified for the state competition every year.  In 2019, one of our teams won the state championships! Currently, there are 3 teams led by our senior class and we are looking to mentor and educate the next generation of WCA VEX students to continue the program!

If your student is interested in learning more about VEX Robotics, they are invited to stop by one of our practices.  Our teams meet Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:00 p.m. to 6:30pm in the HS STEM Lab. This is also where the practice field is set up with all the team’s equipment.

Interested students can sign up to participate in VEX Robotics here: https://wcacademy.8to18.com/accounts/login . Parents will need to create an account. This account will be used to see communications from the coaches and to review activities.

To participate in VEX Robotics:

  • All Students will need to be signed up and registered by 09/30/2021.

  • There is a $200 fee associated with VEX to help pay for the equipment, registration of the teams and attending events. Teams try to attend 8 - 10 events a year across the front range.

Finally, if you are interested volunteering as a coach, we are looking for one or two parents to learn the VEX program as WCA will need coaches to take over the program in the coming years.  If you are interested, please reach out to coaches Matt Frerich and Rick Acheson or Lindsy Yost, WCA Athletic Director.
