Aims Community College IRS Forms

Per IRS regulations, Aims Community College has to mail a W9-S IRS form to all students who do not have a Social Security Number (SSN) on file with the college for this tax year. Please note that the college is required by the IRS to do this and that no students can be excluded. The college is mandated to mail these forms to meet the due diligence requirement of the IRS.

It is encouraged that students submit a W9-S but it’s not required.  Aims Community College would highly recommend students submit them, especially if the student or parent/guardian plan to claim educational credits on their taxes for any costs paid during the year for college courses. If a student opts to complete and submit the form, it must be signed by the student, not the parent/guardian. There is no fine or penalty for not returning the form.

Please contact the Aims Greeley Cashier's Office at 970-339-6349 or cashier@aims.edu if you would like to submit the form, or if you have any questions or concerns.  They will not answer any IRS regulations or tax questions.  Parents/students need to contact the IRS, a tax professional, or review IRS publication 970 if they have questions on educational credits.
