The College Board is giving Black students and their families another chance this school year to connect with Black admissions reps at Real Talk: HBCU Edition on March 1st and 2nd. This two-night event will be an opportunity to compare colleges, receive advice on standing out during the admissions process, get information on special scholarships that can make college more affordable, and have top questions answered in real time.

Student Council is excited to host Spirit Night for all high school students on Thursday, February 16th directly following the girls’ and boys’ basketball playoff games. Dodgeball, cornhole, and Spikeball games will all be set up in the gym and there will be board games and a movie set up in the MS Commons.

High school students are invited to join the National Honor Society 3v3 Basketball Tournament! The tournament will be held on Friday, February 10th from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. There are limited spots available, so please register now!

Teachers will be scheduling individual parent conferences. If you would like a conference with any of your students' teachers, please email them by February 10th to set up a time.

As we continue into the second semester, students need to be aware of the dates that they can drop, or withdraw from a concurrent enrollment course.

The Virtual College Counselor advisors will be hosting a webinar on Tuesday, January 10th at 6:00 p.m. for all 11th graders and their families. The topic for this webinar is determining the best college fit and building a college list.

Please be aware you may be receiving a bill from Aims Community College in the mail. This bill is for your student's administration fees and online fees. You are only responsible for the $25 administrative fee.

From December 1st through 15th, the National Honor Society will setup a Giving tree in the high school hallways! The Giving Tree will have gift tags that can be taken by students and their families.

Windsor Charter Academy offers SAT testing about once a month at our school. There are not many testing sites in northern Colorado so it is a benefit for our students who want to take the SAT again to have it in a building they are comfortable in with staff they know.

Per IRS regulations, Aims Community College has to mail a W9-S IRS form to all students who do not have a Social Security Number (SSN) on file with the college for this tax year. Please note that the college is required by the IRS to do this and that no students can be excluded.

High school students will have review sessions and take their final exams from December 12th through 16th. On December 14th & 15th, students will take final exams and will be released early at 11:11 a.m.

PTC will be hosting a teacher appreciation lunch on Friday, November 18th to show support for all of our teachers as they make the push into the last few weeks of the semester!

Did you know Windsor Charter Academy started a Speech & Debate Team? Speech & Debate is a combination of public speaking, acting, and debating with others in a competitive manner.

The University of Northern Colorado (UNC) Math Contest is open to any middle or high school student interested in math! The first round of questions is sent to Windsor Charter Academy from UNC and administered in-house at WCA during a 2-day window. This is scheduled for Thursday, November 3rd or Friday, November 4th.

Windsor Charter Academy welcomes all families and visitors to our Veterans Day Assembly on November 11th at 2:00 p.m.! To ensure the safety of our schools, we will require all visitors attending the Veterans Day Assembly to have a background check on file.
