Students who fail a course will have the option of attending summer school. Parents will be notified in May if their student is recommended to enroll in summer school.

Calling all parents!  WCA’s freshmen, sophomores, and juniors will be taking the PSAT and SAT on April 16th. The evening before, on April 15th, from 3:30 to 5:00 p.m., we invite parents to write inspirational messages on each of the students’ desks

Windsor Charter Academy students will take their Colorado Measures of Academic Success  (CMAS) tests in April!  CMAS tests are meaningful and relevant assessments that support rigorous academic standards. The state’s summative tests measure students’ mastery of grade-level standards and growth over time. 

Liberty Common High School will be hosting a College Fair & Information Night on April 9th from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Windsor Charter Academy students are invited to attend this event!

Windsor Charter Academy’s Junior & Senior Prom will be held on Saturday, April 13th, at the Mad Russian Golf Course from 8:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. After Prom will be held at the Main Event in Windsor from 11:30 p.m. to 1:30 a.m.

We have multiple high school field trips in April! Please complete the permission forms emailed to you by the sponsoring teachers/advisors. Also, if you plan to chaperone a field trip, please ensure that your background check is up to date.

We are ramping up for our first annual WCA Graduation Ticket Auction! Each year, families of graduating seniors are issued eight tickets to attend the graduation ceremony. During our auction, families have the opportunity to bid on additional tickets. If you are interested in participating, please register below. This auction is open to all families with a senior currently enrolled at our high school.

Representatives from Virtual College Counselors will be making several class visits this spring!

The non-profit organization The Quarter Project of Northern Colorado aims to encourage young women to pursue STEM careers and academics. Representatives from their team will be coming on March 20th from 11:00 to 11:45 a.m. to provide an overview of a specific program they have called STEM Femmes.

As part of our ICAP and AVID courses, we will conduct mock interviews with our sophomores on Thursday, March 28th, from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m.

Students will take the PSAT10 (sophomores) or SAT (juniors) in school on Tuesday, April 16th.  One component of these tests is an optional student questionnaire that is completed prior to test day.

The wickedly delightful sci-fi sensation, Little Shop of Horrors, is coming to WCA! Save the date for an evening (or matinee) of dark comedy, iconic music, and a special guest appearance by the infamous man-eating plant herself, the Audrey II.

Congratulations to Rob I., a senior, who is a recipient of the prestigious Walter Scott Undergraduate Scholarship at Colorado State University! In addition to this scholarship, Rob received a merit scholarship, which, when combined, will pay for all of his tuition, room, and board at CSU.

Colorado State University will host a summer institute for young women aged 15-18 interested in learning more about construction management. This 4-day institute held on the CSU campus will provide students with the opportunity to learn more about the construction industry, network with professionals and other students, tour a construction site, learn about equipment, and build an independent project.
