High school boys’ basketball season has begun! Here are the highlights from this week.
WCA HS Boys’ Varsity Basketball vs. Skyview Academy
On Tuesday, December 3rd, the WCA High School Boys’ Varsity Basketball Team faced off against Skyview Academy in the home opener of the regular season! In the first half, the Firebirds maintained the lead, ending the first half with a score of 44-35, the last point being a buzzer-beater shot from senior Kellen B. Going into the second half, the Firebirds maintained the lead, securing good offense. At the end of the match, the score ended at 86-70, with the Firebirds earning the victory. Congratulations on the first win of the season, Firebirds!
WVA HS Boys’ JV Basketball vs. Skyview Academy
On Tuesday, December 3rd, the WCA High School Boys’ JV Basketball Team played against Skyview Academy in the home opener match of the season. In the first half, both teams played well against each other, but at halftime, the Skyview Hawks took the lead with a score of 18-20. Going into the second half of the game, the Firebirds were able to fight for a close lead, but unfortunately at a last effort by the Hawks, they were able to win with a score of 46-47.
