Teens have access to trending apps and can share online experiences, not only with friends but with strangers. It is easy for a young person to find themselves in an unsafe or unhealthy situation on the internet. From sexting and pornography, to cyberbullying and thoughts of suicide, smartphones have created countless obstacles for youth. We want our students to be equipped with tools to stay safe online and understand the laws surrounding the use of technology.
The Weld County District Attorney's Office will be presenting information on October 16th to our students about digital safety and sexting laws in Colorado.
