UNC Math Contest Open to 6-12th Graders

The University of Northern Colorado (UNC) Math Contest is open to any middle or high school student interested in math! The first round of questions is sent to Windsor Charter Academy from UNC and administered in-house at WCA during a 2-day window. This is scheduled for Thursday, November 3rd or Friday, November 4th. The contest is 1.5 hours long, and only paper and pencil may be used; no calculators or other electronic devices are allowed. This contest will test students’ creativity and problem-solving skills!

Students are asked to select a time slot on the registration form below. Students may not select a class time slot if they are not currently passing the class. Students should contact the teacher of the class they select and let them know they will be missing class. Students will report to Mrs. Holt's classroom (Room #262) if they sign up for before or after school or during lunch. Students will report to the Media Center if they sign up for a block of time during the day. A snack and water will be provided during the contest!

The first round of problems will be sent to UNC to be scored. Based on the results of the first round, some students will then be invited by the College of Mathematics at UNC to attend the 2nd round of the contest in February. Please reach out to your student’s math teacher with any questions!
