Colorado State University: Introduce a Girl to Engineering Day

The Society of Women Engineers and Colorado State University have invited Windsor Charter Academy middle school girls to participate in Introduce A Girl to Engineering Day! This is a free all-day event for girls in 6th, 7th, and 8th grade. This interactive event allows participants hands-on experience with anything they may encounter within STEM. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) fields. These activities include experiments, coding, crazy contraptions, building, physics, and more! Students are also paired with professional and collegiate female role models to ask questions about what it means to be a woman in STEM!

Parents can also sign up to participate in a parent panel. This panel is free and offered at the same time and location. Parents can attend workshops, lab tours, hear from CSU faculty and students, and learn how to better support their daughter if they choose to pursue a career in a STEM field!

These events are entirely free and are held on campus on the campus of Colorado State University on Saturday, April 15th, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Lunch, snacks, t-shirts, and take-home resources are provided. Registration is open until March 11th.
