Each week, our teachers nominate students to receive a Friday Firebird Award. This award is given to students who set a wonderful example by demonstrating The Eight Keys of Excellence!
Raylan B., a 6th grader, was recognized as a Firebird Award winner! Mrs. Sonnen shared, "Raylan advocates for himself and is always striving for excellence. He is polite to teachers and other students and is consistently doing what is right. Thank you for being an amazing Firebird, Raylan!"
Lo B., a 6th grader, was recognized as a Firebird Award winner! Mrs. Man shared, "Lo’s willingness to jump in and take ‘Ownership’ of her learning, help out her peers and any new students, and jump in wherever she can fill a need is very impressive. I’m so glad Lo has joined our Firebird Family! Great job, Lo!"
Audrey D., a 7th grader, was recognized as a Firebird Award winner! Mrs. Fields shared, "Audrey is doing a great job adjusting to Windsor Charter Academy. She is eager to learn and committed to coming to class and working hard every day. Way to go, Audrey!"
Abel D., a 7th grader, was recognized as a Firebird Award winner! Mrs. Unruh shared, "During P.E., Abel demonstrated ‘Integrity’ by doing the right thing without being asked. When a water bottle spilled across the gym floor, he immediately stepped up. On his own initiative, Abel grabbed a mop, bucket, and towels and thoroughly cleaned and dried the entire area until it was safe. His quick thinking, sense of responsibility, and genuine care for his peers' safety showed true character in action. Good work, Abel!"
Summer M., an 8th grader, was recognized as a Firebird Award winner! Mrs. Fuller shared, "Summer has reached out to new students multiple times to work with them or help them find something without being asked. It is wonderful that Summer notices who needs help and that she is so friendly and open. Thanks for being an awesome Firebird, Summer!"
Logan H., an 8th grader, was recognized as a Firebird Award winner! Ms. McIntire shared, "Logan not only works incredibly hard on every assignment, but he also does his best to include friends and peers alike in classroom activities. He is a positive, kind-hearted student who is refreshing to have in class. He prioritizes his academics and is willing to help others. Way to go, Logan!"
