Friday Firebird Awards

Each week, one student from each grade level is nominated by our teachers to receive a Friday Firebird Award. This award is given to students who set a wonderful example by showing the 8 Keys of Excellence!

Penny P., a 6th grader, was recognized as a Firebird Award winner this week! Fletcher S., a fellow student, shared, "Penny is always a great student and works hard in her classes! She is kind and respectful to everyone: teachers, students, and staff. She has a very big heart and never fails to help anyone who needs it. Thank you for being an amazing Firebird, Penny!"


Xander D., a 6th grader, was recognized as a Firebird Award winner this week! Hannah R., a fellow student, shared, "Xander demonstrates the 8 Keys of Excellence and is a great person.  Whenever I see him in the hallways, after school, or in our elective, he is never without a smile.  He is always very positive and knows how to brighten up a room in the classroom and the hallway. Xander embodies a true Firebird. Congratulations, Xander!"


Fletcher S., a 7th grader, was recognized as a Firebird Award winner this week! Maddie M., a fellow student, shared, "Fletcher is an incredible Student Ambassador and is always trying to benefit others around him. He always goes the extra mile and commits to his classes and clubs! He has been a great addition to Windsor Charter Academy. Great job, Fletcher!"


Sydney K., an 8th grader, was recognized as a Firebird Award winner this week! Ally R., a fellow student, shared, "Sydney has a kind heart and willingness to learn. She is a very authentic person and always shows integrity. She shows ‘This Is It!’ by always getting her work done and turned in on time. Whenever we have free time, she works on her homework instead of talking to her friends. Congratulations, Sydney!"


Gavin S., an 8th grader, was recognized as a Firebird Award winner this week! Mr. Young shared, "A student dropped a $50 bill allocated for a class field trip outside during recess. Gavin found the bill and promptly turned it in to the office staff. This honorable act shows Gavin is an honest student with an admirable sense of integrity. Well done, Gavin!"


Cami S., an 8th grader, was recognized as a Firebird Award winner this week! Lily F., a fellow student, shared, "Cami always has a smile when she walks into choir class. She is kind to her peers and gets along with everyone, no matter who they are. She helps clean up her peers' chairs and takes out and puts away risers. She is dedicated to her work in choir class. Windsor Charter Academy is lucky to have Cami as a Firebird!"
