Each week, our teachers nominate students to receive a Friday Firebird Award. This award is given to students who set a wonderful example by demonstrating The Eight Keys of Excellence!
Elizabeth H., a 6th grader, was recognized as a Firebird Award winner! Mrs. Miller shared, "Elizabeth is receiving this award because she consistently demonstrates curiosity and enthusiasm in science. She approaches every lesson with focus and a willingness to explore new ideas. Elizabeth shows ‘Commitment,’ ‘Ownership,’ and ‘This Is It!’ by taking initiative in her learning and giving her best effort each day. Great job, Elizabeth!"
Carter M., a 7th grader, was recognized as a Firebird Award winner! Mrs. Becker shared, "Carter stays on task during science class and is consistently engaged, showing genuine curiosity by asking thoughtful questions during class. His ‘Commitment’ to learning is evident in the effort he puts into every assignment, and he works to improve his understanding of new concepts. Carter works diligently to turn in his assignments on time. Even when faced with challenges or setbacks, he approaches them with a positive attitude, viewing mistakes as opportunities for learning and growth. His perseverance and dedication set a great example for his classmates. Keep up the excellent work, Carter!"
Marley S., an 8th grader, was recognized as a Firebird Award winner! Mrs. Mancina shared, "Marley has shown outstanding curiosity and engagement in science. She exemplifies "This Is It!" during labs, simulations, and discussions by asking thoughtful questions. Marley is always eager to explore new scientific concepts. Her positive attitude and enthusiasm inspire others to think critically, stay curious, and explore new ideas! Way to go, Marley!"
