Each week, our teachers nominate students to receive a Friday Firebird Award. This award is given to students who set a wonderful example by demonstrating The Eight Keys of Excellence!
Lilli F., a 6th grader, was recognized as a Firebird Award winner! Mrs. Weisgerber shared, "Lilli shows ‘This Is It!’ every day in math! She is committed to going above and beyond expectations and is very determined to do whatever it takes to earn the highest possible score on all her assignments and assessments. To prepare for CMAS and iReady, she completed over 100 IXL lessons in one quarter, advancing her skills to the next grade level! It has been such a pleasure to be her math teacher, and I am so excited to see all her growth on iReady! Great job, Lilli!"
Neeva E., a 6th grader, was recognized as a Firebird Award winner! Mrs. Bradford shared, "Neeva has done a great job in class! She asks for help when needed and has been able to apply what she learned earlier in the year to what we are doing now. She works hard in class and is a strong group member who does her part. Way to go, Neeva!"
Kushi U., a 7th grader, was recognized as a Firebird Award winner! Mrs. Keenan shared, "Kushi is an incredibly positive student who makes our classroom a better place to be each and every day. He engages other students and is always willing to help. He is kind, thoughtful, and also has an amazing sense of humor. He never gives up in math, which can be an extremely difficult subject. I am so lucky to have him in multiple classes. Congratulations, Kushi, you deserve to be our Friday Firebird Award winner!”
Tessa C., a 7th grader, was recognized as a Firebird Award winner! Her teacher shared, "Tessa exemplifies The 8 Keys of Excellence. She works incredibly hard, takes on challenges without hesitation, and asks for help when she needs it. She is always on task and consistently kind to others. Thanks for always working hard and bringing a great attitude to class. Congratulations, Tessa!"
Brinnley W., an 8th grader, was recognized as a Firebird Award winner! Mr. Crompton shared, "Brinnley has grown as a math student tremendously this year. She is wise to know when she needs help, kind when she offers help to those around her, and patient with herself as well as her classmates. Brinnley always gives her best effort, and when she doesn’t meet her own standards, she is quick to correct any misunderstandings. Brinnley has maintained one of the highest grades in her math class throughout the school year and continues to impress everyone around her. Great job, Brinnley!"
Evan V., an 8th grader, was recognized as a Firebird Award winner! Mr. Crompton shared, "Evan has consistently shown dedication to performing at his best in math class. On multiple occasions, he's earned the highest score on unit tests. He also completes his assignments early and at the highest quality. Evan models what it means to be focused and driven in his education. I am proud of all the work he has done this year, as it has not gone unnoticed. Awesome job, Evan!"
