Each week, our teachers nominate students to receive a Friday Firebird Award. This award is given to students who set a wonderful example by demonstrating The Eight Keys of Excellence!
Finix N., a 6th grader, was recognized as a Firebird Award winner! Mr. Koster shared, "Finix has demonstrated a ‘This Is It!’ attitude and has demonstrated ‘Commitment’ by helping his peers and always being prepared for class. Finix brings years of musical experience into class and is incredibly humble. Way to go, Finix!"
Blake S., a 6th grader, was recognized as a Firebird Award winner! Mr. Montoya shared, "Blake has been working hard to get her missing work turned in. She always asks for help when she needs it. I am very proud of how Blake continues to advocate for her needs. Way to go, Blake!"
Riley M., a 7th grader, was recognized as a Firebird Award winner! Mr. Koster shared, "Riley always comes to class with a positive attitude and is ready to learn. He consistently turns in great work and has a very creative musical mind. Great job, Riley!"
Arie M., a 7th grader, was recognized as a Firebird Award winner! Mr. Montoya shared, "While I was out sick, Arie helped to run choir rehearsals with the other officers. Every day, Arie sent me a detailed email about what they worked on, how well people were staying on task, and asked any questions people had. I'm so proud of the leadership and dedication Arie brings to our choir!"
Cody G., a 7th grader, was recognized as a Firebird Award winner! Mrs. Koenig shared, "Cody did an amazing job by asking questions about what he needed to do and then took initiative to find answers in his notes. He keeps up with the class as they take notes and takes charge of his own learning. Awesome job, Cody!"
Taber H.M., an 8th grader, was recognized as a Firebird Award winner! Mr. Koster shared, "Taber has taken it upon himself to learn a new instrument on his own time in addition to being a Student Ambassador and participating in sports. He always asks to work with his peers to develop his skills and shows ‘Commitment’ in his musical development. Thank you for being a model Firebird, Taber!"
Addy D., an 8th grader, was recognized as a Firebird Award winner! Mr. Montoya shared, "Addy is always polite to everyone. She always focuses on her work, helps others when she can, and is an all-around fantastic student. Thank you for being an amazing Firebird, Addy!"
