Each week, our teachers nominate students to receive a Friday Firebird Award. This award is given to students who set a wonderful example by demonstrating The Eight Keys of Excellence!
Zoe W., a 6th grader, was recognized as a Firebird Award winner! Ethan O., a fellow classmate, shared, "Zoe is always willing to help her peers, helping with assignments, all while making insightful questions that help the entire class. She always works her hardest in class and doesn’t give up! She sparks great discussions in all her classes and brings a bright smile to all students. She shows great kindness and responsibility! Great job, Zoe!"
Shiloe B., a 6th grader, was recognized as a Firebird Award winner! Lily R., a fellow classmate, shared, "Shiloe shines in all of her classes. She constantly demonstrates The 8 Keys of Excellence. She is an amazing friend to all of her classmates and shows everyone around her what it is like to be a Firebird. Way to go, Shiloe!"
Nataleigh G., a 7th grader, was recognized as a Firebird Award winner! Jazbel H., a fellow classmate, shared, "Nataleigh is someone who always puts the needs of others before hers and always makes sure everyone around her knows that they are loved and cared for. She has a pure and noble heart. I wish I could give her a prize worthy of her selfless spirit and quiet courage, but this Friday Firebird award is the best I can do. I hope that she will be treated with the same kindness that she has shown me. Congratulations, Nataleigh!"
Ellie Z., a 7th grader, was recognized as a Firebird Award winner! Jonah G., a fellow classmate, shared, "Ellie shows The 8 Keys of Excellence by showing kindness and ‘Integrity’ to her peers and teachers around her. She shows ‘This Is It!’ in AVID by staying on task and completing her work. Lastly, she shows ‘Balance’ with staying on track in school while also doing a sport. Amazing job, Ellie!"
Kenli V., an 8th grader, was recognized as a Firebird Award winner! Camila M., a fellow classmate, shared, "Kenli demonstrates ‘Balance,’ ‘Flexibility,’ and ‘Speak with Good Purpose,’ in all that she does. She consistently shows kindness to those around her and communicates with intention and respect. As a co-leader, the Student Ambassador in charge of announcements, and a participant in soccer, she exemplifies both ‘Flexibility’ and ‘Balance.’ She manages her responsibilities by balancing academics, Student Ambassadors, and athletics while continuing to be a strong student. She is always willing to help others and brings a positive attitude to class each day. Congratulations, Kenli!"
