Firebird Award Winners

Each week, our teachers nominate one student from each grade level to receive a Friday Firebird Award. This award is given to students who set a wonderful example by demonstrating The Eight Keys of Excellence!

Firebird Award Winner

Maxx B., a 6th grader, was recognized as a Firebird Award winner! Mrs. DeBusk shared, "Maxx is a great addition to our school. He showed ‘Flexibility’ when given a confusing schedule, has shown perseverance in learning his locker combination, and comes into class ready to go. He listens intently in class and shows a great ‘Commitment’ to his learning. We are so glad to have Maxx at our school!"


Abigail H., a 6th grader, was recognized as a Firebird Award winner! Mrs. Carrico shared, "Abigail contributes to the class with enthusiasm. She is always willing to offer her input with both the class and the small groups she works with. Thank you for being an awesome Firebird, Abigail!"


Demarius C., a 7th grader, was recognized as a Firebird Award winner! Ms. Brown shared, "Demarius has come to class every day committed to learning. He participates and always tries his best! Great job, Demarius, we are all super proud of you!"



Mateo M.S., a 7th grader, was recognized as a Firebird Award winner! Mr. Toman shared, "Mateo was very focused during history class this week and encouraged his fellow students to pay attention and participate. He's shown great dedication and ‘Commitment’ this year! Way to go, Mateo!"


Kylee L., an 8th grader, was recognized as a Firebird Award winner! Mrs. Antal shared, "Kylee is off to a great start this year. She brings a great attitude to class and ensures that all her assignments are completed on time. Great job, Kylee!"


Violet D., an 8th grader, was recognized as a Firebird Award winner! Mrs. Moralez shared, "Violet shows ‘Ownership’ of her learning by getting the help she needs to complete tasks as well as balancing distractions and required work. Great job, Violet!"
