Firebird Award Winners

Each week, our teachers nominate students to receive a Friday Firebird Award. This award is given to students who set a wonderful example by demonstrating The Eight Keys of Excellence!

Grayson C., a 6th grader, was recognized as a Firebird Award winner! Mrs. Bradford shared, "Grayson has been doing a great job taking ‘Ownership’ of his time management and making changes to get things done. Last week, when reminded that he needs to stay focused and complete a task, he stayed focused!”

Caroline G., a 6th grader, was recognized as a Firebird Award winner! Mrs. Weisgerber shared, "Caroline has an excitement for life and a wonderfully fun attitude! She is really good at asking questions and doesn't give up until she's got it! She gets along with all of her classmates and goes out of her way to help others when needed. I am so proud of you, Caroline!"

Bella P., a 7th grader, was recognized as a Firebird Award winner! Mrs. Keenan shared, "Bella is a leader in math class and helps her fellow classmates. She asks questions and listens to ideas different from her own. She is diligent and does corrections when needed. She is committed to her success and is also a joy to be around. Thank you, Bella, for your hard work and great attitude!"

Xander N., an 8th grader, was recognized as a Firebird Award winner! Mr. Crompton shared, "Xander has a curiosity and bravery that is unmatched. He always wants to know more and gain clarification on confusing concepts in class.  He often speaks on behalf of the silent individuals who need to know why a procedure works and is brave enough to ask on their behalf.  Xander also learns from mistakes and tries not to repeat them.  This is what we all want to see from our students as they grow. Great job, Xander!"

Gabby C., an 8th grader, was recognized as a Firebird Award winner! Mrs. Antal shared, "Gabby’s hard work and determination go above and beyond expectations. She’s pushed herself to take on a more challenging math class and continues to give her absolute best. Her effort, positive attitude, and ‘Commitment’ to growing have truly set her apart this year. Way to go, Gabby!"
