Each week, our teachers nominate students to receive a Friday Firebird Award. This award is given to students who set a wonderful example by demonstrating The Eight Keys of Excellence!
George C., a 6th grader, was recognized as a Firebird Award winner! Callum N., a fellow classmate, shared, "We are proud to recognize George this week for perfectly modeling The Eight Keys of Excellence. George is a true spark in our classroom, constantly bringing a lighthearted energy that makes the day more enjoyable for everyone around him. Beyond his fun personality, he stands out for his genuine kindness and the easygoing way he treats his peers. By staying true to himself and being a consistently good friend, George demonstrates that a positive attitude and ‘Integrity’ are the best ways to make an impact. Way to go, George!"
Jack H., a 6th grader, was recognized as a Firebird Award winner! Alex H., a fellow classmate, shared, "Jack is a very humble student and shines in his classes. He is very committed to sports and is honest and kind to those around him. He frequently gives encouraging advice and uplifting comments to his peers. He balances his schoolwork well with other aspects of his life and is a role model for a Firebird. Thank you for being a great Firebird, Jack!"
Charlotte M., a 7th grader, was recognized as a Firebird Award winner! Avery P., a 7th grader, was recognized as a Firebird Award winner! Skylar F., a fellow classmate, shared, "Avery is really kind and always makes people feel included. She demonstrates The Eight Keys of Excellence by showing respect and compassion, and she builds strong connections with everyone. Avery always is showing ‘This Is It!’ by staying on task and trying her best, and she shows ‘Integrity’, perseverance, and courage when things get hard! She doesn't just manage tasks; she anticipates needs before they arise, often stepping in to help others without being asked. Whether she is leading a complex project or handling the small, essential details that others might overlook, her sense of responsibility is firm. Her leadership style is rooted in service—she is the first to offer a helping hand and the last to leave until the job is done right. Her ability to remain composed under pressure while empowering those around her makes her an amazing support to the community, proving that true leadership is as much about reliability and kindness as it is about taking charge.
