Each week, our teachers nominate students to receive a Friday Firebird Award. This award is given to students who set a wonderful example by demonstrating The Eight Keys of Excellence!
Logan M., a 6th grader, was recognized as a Firebird Award winner! Mrs. Man shared, "Logan has demonstrated ‘Failure Leads to Success’ in his commitment to working hard to complete assignments and test corrections. He asked clarifying questions, advocated for his needs, and took ‘Ownership’ of his learning. He has worked beyond class time to move himself forward. Way to go, Logan!"
Lydia S., a 6th grader, was recognized as a Firebird Award winner! Mrs. Man shared, "Lydia consistently demonstrates all of The 8 Keys of Excellence, especially ‘This Is It!’. She leads by example in the classroom and serves as an ambassador for new students. She always has a positive attitude, is a hard worker, and acts and ‘Speaks with Good Purpose’.” Awesome job, Lydia!"
Teal T., a 7th grader, was recognized as a Firebird Award winner! Mrs. Fields shared, "Teal is a hardworking student who is always willing to help her classmates while balancing her own classwork and assignments. Thank you for being such an awesome Firebird, Teal!"
Clayton H., a 7th grader, was recognized as a Firebird Award winner! Mrs. Fields shared, "Clayton has truly shown focus and dedication to his work in English class this year. He comes in ready to learn and try his best. Outstanding work, Clayton. We are all very proud of you!"
Grace M., an 8th grader, was recognized as a Firebird Award winner! Ms. McIntire shared, "Grace is always locked in with laser focus. She's a phenomenal writer and never strays away from her work unless instructed for a stand and stretch break. She tries her best every day - we love to see it! Keep it up, Grace!"
Clark S., an 8th grader, was recognized as a Firebird Award winner! Ms. McIntire shared, "Clark is a hard worker and balances academics and his extracurriculars well. Whenever Clark is absent, he is the first to ask how to catch up. Clark is a positive peer and a positive student. He works well with anyone and does his best work every day. He is a very high achiever. Keep it up, Clark!"
