The weather and temperature are monitored throughout the school day to determine if extreme weather conditions are forecasted. The weather in Colorado changes frequently, so It is important that students are sent to school with appropriate clothing for cold weather conditions.

We are looking for a volunteer to assist with our lost and found items. We would like a volunteer to come in every other week and sort through lost and found items. If an item has a name on it, the volunteer will deliver it to the child.

It’s time for our Science Fair! Fifth grade students will be presenting science fair projects on Friday, February 16th. Parents are welcome to come visit projects in the 5th grade classroom from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m.  

First grade students have been learning about the culture of Mexico as part of their unit on modern civilizations. During their celebration, they will participate in different activities that support and enrich the Core Knowledge curriculum. 

On Thursday, March 2nd, in honor of National Read Across America Day, we invite students and staff to come to school dressed as their favorite book character. Costumes must be free of weapons of any kind, face masks, or excessive face paint (no blood/gore).

We are excited to have our 4th and 5th grade students show off their intramural basketball skills during a HS basketball home game! Intramural basketball students will have a 4-minute scrimmage during halftime.

Clearview Library District has opened registration for Not Your Boring Book Club and LEGO Club!

Families are encouraged to continue to send their students with a full water bottle each day. Students play hard during recess and get very thirsty. Our Health Office has a very limited supply of water bottles to offer when a student forgets their water.

Jennifer Herrback is thrilled to join the Windsor Charter Academy family as an elementary school counselor! She has a bachelor's degree in psychology and a master's degree in education.

Valentine’s Day is Tuesday, February 14th! Students are allowed to wear red and pink for Valentine’s Day.

The countdown is on! This is the last week to guarantee your student gets a yearbook. We will be ordering very few extra copies to sell at the end of the year. It is unlikely that there will be a book available for your child if you don’t order a book by January 27th.

We are excited to have our 5th graders join our middle school next year! To give our students and families a sense of our school culture in the upper grades, we invite our students a families to join us at one of our basketball games on Saturday, January 21st.

It’s almost time for basketball season! Our 5th grade boys are invited to open gym sessions at the middle school. Fifth graders are eligible to tryout and play for the middle school boys’ basketball team.

All elementary school students are invited to tryout for our school talent show!  We invite our best music, variety, and voice acts to participate!

Our 3rd, 4th, and 5th Grade Honor Roll Assembly for our 1st quarter will be held on Friday, January 20th at 8:30 a.m. in the ES Gymnasium. Parents of students who earned an honor roll recognition will receive an email inviting them to the assembly.

Parent-Teacher Conferences will be held in classrooms from February 6th through February 16th. Teachers will create Sign Up Genius Links and share them with parents.

In December, the 5th grade had a great time creating various crafts from their “Holidays Around the World” research unit. Each teacher taught about the history of the holiday in a chosen country or region and the students built a craft from that country.

Believe it or not, it’s time to start thinking about middle school! All current 5th grade students and their families are invited to attend our Middle School Parent Information Webinar on Thursday, January 12, 2023 at 5:30 p.m. via Zoom.
