COMMUNITY SERVICE HOURS
Community service hours are required of all students, including seniors. The deadline to submit community service hours is May 1st. This is considered a graduation requirement; any seniors who do not submit this form will not be allowed to walk at graduation.
SENIOR CHECKOUT & Graduation tickets
On May 13th, between 9:00 and 11:00 a.m., seniors will come to the school to participate in the senior checkout process. They will be required to get final sign-off from all departments and administration before receiving their cap and gown, along with their graduation tickets.
** If you know that you will not need all 10 of your graduation tickets, you may leave any extra tickets with the HS Front Office. We do have families that are in need of additional tickets so the office can distribute these accordingly. Families are also able to share extra tickets with other graduating families and friends directly if they have worked out arrangements.
SENIOR BREAKFAST
We have a special Senior Breakfast for all seniors and three of their family members or friends, which will be held on Wednesday, May 14th at 8:15 a.m. in the HS Gymnasium. A continental breakfast will be offered by Lunas Tacos, which will include breakfast burritos, fruit, potatoes, juice, and coffee from the Human Bean. The price will be $12/person. The senior slideshow will be played during this breakfast, and students will receive their stoles, honor cords, and other regalia.
On April 16th, at the mandatory senior meeting, seniors will receive information on how to place orders for Senior Breakfast. This year, orders will be made through the school’s website. The deadline for placing these orders will be May 1st.
FINAL SCHOOL WALKTHROUGH
After Senior Breakfast on May 14th, seniors will complete a final middle and high school walkthrough. Then, we will meet at the elementary school at 10:30 a.m. for a final send-off with some of our youngest Firebirds! Parents are welcome to join us outside of the elementary school for this event.
CONVOCATION
Convocation is an all-school assembly that will be held on Wednesday, May 14th, at 2:15 p.m. Families are invited to attend, but not all seniors will receive an award. Families will receive an email if their student receives an award.
ROSE ORDERS
During the graduation ceremony, seniors will have an opportunity to go into the crowd and give roses to those who have helped them on their journey to graduation. Roses may be given to family members, staff members, or friends. Most students typically order ten roses, but it varies for each student. Students do not need to bring the roses to the ceremony; roses will be handed out to students before the ceremony starts. Roses cost $1.50 each and can be ordered in batches of five. Orders can be made on the school’s website. The deadline for placing these orders will be May 1st. Detailed information regarding this will be provided at the Mandatory Senior Meeting on April 16th.
GRADUATION REHEARSAL
Graduation Rehearsal will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 14th, directly following the Convocation Ceremony. This rehearsal is closed to family and friends; only graduating seniors and staff are asked to attend.
SENIOR CLASS PHOTO
On May 15th, seniors will arrive at the HS Gymnasium by 5:30 p.m. in their caps and gowns. At 6:20 p.m., they will take senior photos and the Class of 2025 graduation photo. Seniors will then line up in the back hallway of the Firebird Facility for the graduation processional, which will begin promptly at 7:00 p.m.
GRADUATION Ceremony
Graduation will be held on Thursday, May 15th, at 7:00 p.m. in the WCA High School Gymnasium. Seniors are asked to arrive by 5:30 p.m. for pictures, with the senior class photo being taken at 6:20 p.m. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. for guests. Each senior can bring up to ten guests to the ceremony and will receive their graduation tickets at senior checkout on May 13th. Seating is first come, first served, and the process works more efficiently if guests in the same party arrive together.
Reserved Seating at Graduation
Volunteers can log their service hours during their students’ junior and senior years for a chance to earn reserved seating at graduation. Service hours over the two-year period will be tallied before graduation. The top volunteer will have a section of reserved seating at their senior's high school graduation.
BACCALAUREATE SERVICE
This is an optional service offered to seniors, families, and friends by multiple churches for Windsor-area high schools on Sunday, May 18th, at 7:00 p.m. at Bethel Lutheran Church, 328 Walnut Street, Windsor, CO 80550. Students should arrive by 6:30 p.m. Graduates should dress for this service in semi-formal attire, no caps and gowns. If you have any questions about this service, you can reach out to Student Pastor Wyrick.
AIMS Community College GRADUATION
The Aims Community College Spring 2025 Commencement Ceremony will be held on Friday, May 16th, at 3:00 p.m. in the Aims Welcome Center Auditorium, 4901 West 20th Street, Greeley, CO 80634.
Students have until April 18th to go to the Aims Community College Bookstore to order a free cap and gown. Students will not be able to order a cap and gown after that date. Earlier this semester, students received an email about this. Please make sure your student has ordered their regalia.
We encourage all WCA graduates to set a time and place to meet at Aims for pictures and then to sit together during the ceremony. Aims graduates are not called in alphabetical order, but in order of seating, so having all WCA students sit together will ensure they all process and walk across the stage together. Details about parking, times, locations, etc., can be found on the Aims Commencement page.
