The Windsor Charter Academy Executive Board has a monthly feature, The Board Corner! This initiative aims to keep our stakeholders informed about important updates and developments within our school community. The Board Corner will highlight and celebrate the various school activities and events in which Board members are involved.
We look forward to engaging with our community through The Board Corner!

4th Grade Colorado Christmas
On December 4th, our talented 4th-grade students brought the spirit of the season to life with their presentation of “A Colorado Christmas.” This event was the culmination of their Core Knowledge Unit on the history of Colorado, where students explored the state’s rich cultural and historical heritage.
Students performed a variety of songs that showcased their learning and creativity. We are so proud of our 4th graders and their teachers for making this event such a success. Events like these remind us why we love being a Core Knowledge school!
The Executive Board wishes all of our Firebird Families happy holidays and a prosperous new year!
Senior Capstone Night
The Class of 2025 presented their projects during Senior Capstone Night! Each year, students have a capstone project in their ICAP class. At Senior Capstone Night, students proudly showcased their post-graduation plans with creative poster boards featuring school memories, future life goals, and exciting career aspirations. Family, friends, and a few of our Executive Board members came out to support our seniors! We celebrated their high school journey and are excited to see what the future holds for the Class of 2025!
Spring Executive Board Elections
Windsor Charter Academy will be holding elections for the Executive Board this spring! If you are interested in running for the Board, it is time to prepare now. Potential candidates must have attended a minimum of two Board meetings in the year of their intended candidacy or volunteered for a minimum of thirty-five hours within the twelve months before their candidacy. Volunteer hours can either be served at WCA or at another organization that can verify service hours. We will begin seeking applicants next spring!
Election Committee
In February 2025, we will begin seeking volunteers to serve on our Election Committee. Committee members will be responsible for helping to coordinate the election process, ensuring candidates complete their applications, and volunteering on the day of the election. As an Election Committee member, parents have the opportunity to be involved in an important function of our school!
