WCA High School Students Present to Executive Board
At the WCA Executive Board’s last meeting, Board members were invited to a surprise treat! The High School Jazz Band performed a short piece from their most recent performance. Our jazz musicians took an opportunity to thank the school for providing scholarship funds to attend a jazz festival in January of this year. Students learned so much from their experience and were thankful for the opportunity to participate in this national conference!
The WCA High School Theatre Program also performed a short skit from their upcoming performance of Shrek The Musical. Board members enjoyed a sneak peek of the show and are excited to see the full-length production! Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased in advance or at the door.

AVID Showcase as a National Demonstration School
Windsor Charter Academy hosted its first AVID Showcase as an AVID National Demonstration School! As a model of excellence in teaching and learning, we welcomed 35 educators, principals, and district leaders from six Colorado school districts, along with AVID representatives. Members of the Executive Board toured our schools with visitors from AVID and attended the AVID panel discussion. The showcase was impressive! The Executive Board would like to thank our incredible students and teachers for putting on an outstanding showcase and demonstrating how AVID strategies are seamlessly integrated into every classroom!
Join Us for Coffee at Coffee House 29
Windsor Charter Academy’s Executive Board of Directors and Dr. Teeples, Executive Director of Schools, invite you to join them at Coffee House 29! Families are invited to grab a cup of coffee and pull up a chair to learn more about our school and ask questions. The next meeting will be held on March 7th. We are excited for you to join us–and coffee is always on us!
Spring Executive Board Elections
Windsor Charter Academy will be holding elections for the Executive Board in April! Board candidates will present their candidate speeches at the March Executive Board meeting. The WCA Executive Board Meeting & Candidate Town Hall will be held on March 20th at 6:00 p.m. in the MS/HS Media Center. All speeches will be recorded and sent to our parent community.
Each candidate will receive questions from the WCA parent community at the Board Meeting. Please complete this form if you are unable to attend the Town Hall and would like to submit a question to the candidates. More information about the Board Election process can be found on our website.
