Each year, Windsor Charter Academy awards deserving graduating seniors with the Share the Light Firebird Scholarship or the John Bartmann Memorial Scholarship. We are asking our families and the greater Firebird community to donate funds towards these scholarships. The more we raise, the more scholarships we can award! All funds raised go directly to our students and are awarded during our Senior Breakfast. Let's rise together as a strong Firebird community and honor our seniors who have made a lasting impact on our school!
John Bartmann Memorial Scholarship
The John Bartmann Memorial Scholarship was established to celebrate and honor John Bartmann's legacy. John served as Windsor Charter Academy's Executive Board President for three years. He was dedicated to his children's education and wanted to leave a legacy of learning. John was instrumental in developing plans for Windsor Charter Academy's expansion, including building an early college high school.
Each year, a single scholarship recipient is chosen. The student recipient will be selected based on their strong work ethic, integrity, and respect for others. The recipient will have demonstrated responsibility in their daily work and modeled character traits such as trustworthiness, respect, fairness, and care for others. The recipient will also serve as the "Key Bearer" during our commencement ceremony—the highest honor awarded to a student at Windsor Charter Academy.
Share the Light Firebird Scholarship
Windsor Charter Academy established the Share the Light Firebird Scholarship to celebrate the positive impact that our Firebirds will have on the world when they graduate. Student recipients will be selected based on their character, good work, and kindness. These exemplary Firebirds will be recognized at our high school commencement ceremony for having positively impacted our school, built quality relationships with students and staff, and contributed to building the culture at Windsor Charter Academy. We ask our families and the greater Firebird community to "share their light" by supporting this scholarship. By supporting a student, you can help our Firebirds share their light with the world!
