Windsor Charter Academy is seeking candidates to fill two positions on our Executive Board! The Election Committee is now accepting applications from potential candidates. Executive Board Members serve as unpaid volunteers but contribute significantly to the leadership and strategic direction of our schools. The term for each position is three years.
If parents or other community stakeholders are interested in running for a Board position, please visit our website for information about the application process. For those interested in running, please email a Board Candidate Application to elections@windsorcharteracademy.org by Tuesday, February 25th.
Board Candidate Criteria
Potential candidates must have attended a minimum of two Board meetings in the year of their intended candidacy or volunteered for a minimum of thirty-five hours within the twelve months before their candidacy. Volunteer hours can either be served at WCA or at another organization that can verify service hours.
Board Candidate Training
Candidates who meet all election criteria, as verified by the Election Committee, are invited to attend a Board Candidate Training Meeting on Thursday, March 6th at 6:30 p.m. via Google Meet. Meeting invitations will be sent directly to candidates.
Executive Board Meeting & Candidate Town Hall
The Executive Board Meeting and Candidate Town Hall will be held on Thursday, March 20th at 6:00 p.m. in the Firebird Facility, Classroom #2018. Verified candidates will present their candidate speeches. All speeches will be recorded and sent to our parent community. In addition, each candidate will receive questions from the WCA community. If a parent/guardian is unable to attend the Town Hall and would like to submit a question, please complete this form.
Serving on WCA's Executive Board is an ideal way to be involved in the strategic direction of our schools. We encourage our stakeholders to apply to be a part of WCA's future!
