Windsor Charter Academy has openings for two part-time instructional paraprofessionals at our elementary school. This is an ideal position for someone looking for part-time hours.

Windsor Charter Academy is seeking candidates to fill two positions on our Executive Board! The Election Committee is now accepting applications from potential candidates. Executive Board Members serve as unpaid volunteers but contribute significantly to the leadership and strategic direction of our schools. The term for each position is three years.

The third year of the WCA Summer Internship Program is in full swing! We have nearly 130 sophomores and juniors interested in interning with a local business or organization this summer. We have students interested in all career fields.

Students at Windsor Charter Academy will be taking their Colorado Measures of Academic Success (CMAS) tests in April! CMAS tests are meaningful and relevant assessments that support rigorous academic standards.

On March 15th at 6:00 p.m., the Weld County Department of Public Health & Environment and Windsor Charter Academy will be hosting a parent webinar: How to Talk with Young People about Vaping, JUILS, and Other Electronic Nicotine Products. We are excited to offer this event to our families!

Windsor Charter Academy will be holding elections for the Executive Board this spring! If you are interested in serving on our Election Committee, please email Sherry Bartmann, Executive Board Member and Election Committee Liaison. Committee members will be responsible for helping to coordinate the election process, ensuring board candidates complete their applications, and volunteering on the day of the election.

The National Honors Society Public Relations Committee is excited to begin our Individual Service Project highlights! Every two weeks, we will be releasing articles in The Firebird Word and on the NHS website to showcase some of our most impactful service projects that are being completed this semester!

Windsor Charter Academy’s health and administrative teams monitor our schools’ COVID-19 data on a daily basis. Since the start of the pandemic we have been committed to making mitigation decisions based on COVID-19 data in our schools.

Beginning on Monday, January 31st, only students who are present in the building will be marked present. Students at home for any reason will be marked absent.

We are in the process of enrolling our students for the 2022-2023 school year! We need each parent to fill out their child's enrollment information online. We ask all families to complete the WCA Returning Student Survey by Monday, January 17th.

On October 27, the State of Colorado launched I Matter, a program that provides up to three free counseling sessions for all Colorado youth.

Are you interested in getting your gift wrapping done AND supporting a good cause?! The Mu Alpha Theta High School Math Team will wrap your gifts for you! On Saturday, December 11th, drop off your gifts to the high school between 9:00 and 10:00 a.m. and then pick them up between 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.

The Windsor Charter Academy Boys’ Basketball Team is hosting its First Annual Cornhole Tournament! Join us on Saturday, January 29, 2022 for a fun-filled tournament to support our Firebirds!

The WCA Middle School Theater Club will host their first performance of the year! The fall musical is a modern-day telling of “The Grinch.” The musical - "The Grunch” - tells the story of Rudy Grunch, a grumpy middle schooler who always feels like an outsider.

Windsor Charter Academy will be participating in Colorado Gives Day! On Tuesday, December 7th, WCA families can be a part of a statewide movement to celebrate philanthropy through online giving. By making a donation to our school, you can join the thousands of Coloradoans on this day of giving!

The National Honor Society Homeward Alliance Committee is excited to present the Homeward Alliance Donation Drive!

On Monday, November 15th we will begin enrolling students for the 2022-2023 school year. New incoming siblings of current WCA students and new incoming children of staff members will be the first to be enrolled. Enrollment will occur for all grade levels
