We are excited to announce that our theater program is selling DVDs for this year's performances as well as recordings from previous years.

The WCA Safety Committee is hosting a Mental Health and Sources of Strength Parent Lunch-and-Learn on Thursday, March 19th from 11:45 a.m. - 12:45 pm. in the high school STEM Lab. This event is part of our Safety Committee’s monthly parent information seminar series, focusing on a variety of safety topics.

Our 9th - 11th grade students are working hard to prepare for the PSAT and SAT tests in April. Our 10th and 11th grade students have linked their previous test scores in College Board to Khan Academy and have set individualized practice goals based upon their needs. Our 9th graders have taken several assessments to see where they need to focus their studying efforts.

Join us for our high school music concert on March 3rd at 6:30 p.m. in our gymnasium! Our bands, orchestra, and choir will all be performing so come and hear some beautiful music!

Join us on March 12 -14 for our high school drama program production of “Seven Brides for Seven Brothers” at our elementary school!

Our high school VEX Robotics teams have qualified for the VEX U.S. OPEN in Council Bluffs, IA! Our students are working to raise money to attend this event. Our team also has a good chance of qualifying to represent Colorado at the VEX Robotics World Championship. Our students are looking for your support to help them achieve their goal of competing on the national and international stage!

Windsor Charter Academy’s high school Mu Alpha Theta Math Team is raising funds to send 15 members of their math team to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina to attend their annual math convention! Please consider helping our students raise funds to attend this week-long immersive math experience.

We are excited to announce that our students will be able to earn an Associate in Science degree at the start of the 2020-2021 school year. This means all of our high school students have the opportunity to graduate with either an Associate of Arts degree or an Associate of Science degree from Aims Community College, free of charge. Our early college opportunity means families can save nearly $60,000 in college tuition, per student!

Please join us in congratulating our students on earning an academic letter. To earn an academic letter, student must have a GPA of 3.9 or higher for both first and second semester of the previous school year. We are proud of you, Firebirds!

Our VEX Robotics teams had an awesome tournament! Team “Only Temporary” and team “Controlled Chaos” finished qualifying rounds with 4 wins and 1 loss. Team Only Temporary won the final round, qualifying them for the state tournament and U.S. Open in Iowa!

Our newly formed Audio Visual (A.V.) Club is open to middle and high school students! In A.V. Club, students will learn the basics of video and audio production. An informational meeting will be held on Wednesday, February 19th at 3:30 p.m. in the Media Center.

The Clearview Library District and the Clearview Library District Friends and Foundation is hosting New York Times bestselling author William Kamkwamba on Saturday, February 22nd. Prior to the event, guests are invited to attend an Innovation Fair in the WHS cafeteria. Windsor Charter Academy will have a booth at the fair and Mrs. Shaler will be showcasing our students’ STEM projects!

Anshor Driving School and Windsor Charter Academy are excited to offer students an opportunity to take a drivers education course over spring break. This opportunity, and discounted rate, is available to WCA students only.

Our high school students who were recognized as being on the honor roll for the first semester have earned a free dress day on Tuesday, February 11th! Students may wear ripped jeans, leggings, sweatpants, and hats to celebrate their hard work!

Last Friday, our 8th-11th grade students participated in our student council elections. Each candidate gave a short speech detailing their goals if elected to student council.

Our school is committed to the safety of all of our students and families. The WCA Safety Committee is hosting a Cyber Security and Sexting Parent Information Night on Wednesday, February 26th from 6:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. in room 184 at our high school.

Our HS VEX Robotics team were awarded two tournament championship trophies over the last two weeks! At the Colorado Early College Fort Collins VEX Robotics tournament, our teams “Phynix” and “Only Temporary” both made it to the finals. Our third team “Controlled Chaos” was knocked out by Only Temporary in the semi-finals by 11 points.
